Thoughtless Thursday

So for this edition of Thoughtless Thursday I think I will post about what has been on mind nonstop for a while now. A VACATION!!

My hubby and I went a little low key on our honeymoon in hopes to plan something on a little larger scale by a couple years into our marriage, well.... we decided to have a baby instead. SO WORTH IT but now we have the itch... bad. I want to lay on a warm beach with sand between my toes reading a good book while I soak up some rays and listen to the waves. Is that so much to ask??? Well my checking account says exactly that :(

So here I am wishing and waiting for the day we can take another tropical vacation and reminiscing about our last couple beach visits. Our honeymoon to Gulf Shores and our family vacation to Marco Island. Both beautiful beaches and an amazing time.

Beach I miss you.... I hope to visit soon!

Wordless Wednesday Lydia Style of Course

T2T: Favorite Purchases

So far this year we have been pretty spoiled by our family and friends when it came to all of the baby purchases that could have put us completely in debt over our heads BUT thanks to them we have cute baby stuff all over our house and still had some extra $$ to spend on some of my favorite purchases this year :)


#1-- Our new wood laminate flooring (rug and pillows from Target to go along of course) I'm in L.O.V.E :)




#2-- My larger coach wristlet now that I spend most of my time carrying a diaper bag around I needed something to keep all of my things in so I could grab it at a moments notice when I was baby- less, instead of switching my stuff into a purse(case and point, last night matt took Lydia home from my parents so I could go see Eclipse with my sister, wristlet was a lifesaver).

2 month photos as promised: My little firecracker

OMG I LOVE HER!!!

2 months!

Lydia,

I cannot believe that is has been 2 months since the first time I heard you cry and I saw daddy hold you in his arms. You are growing every day not just physically but you are developing this amazing little personality that makes you so incredibly adorable I could gobble you up!!

You think blowing spit bubbles is fun, you get a big gummy grin on your face when your drool drips down your chin.

You put your hands in your mouth all the time now and suck your thumb like a champ, seriously I can hear you slurping from the front seat of the car or from your baby monitor at times. Right now I'm not too upset because it keeps me from having to put your binky back in your mouth every 2 seconds.

You smile now when people talk in goofy voices to you, I seem to hold conversations with people through you via baby talk and you think it's quite hilarious.

Your smile is getting bigger and bigger which means we can see that adorable little dimple more often and I LOVE IT, just like your mommy and daddy have.

You are now sleeping like a champ, we put you down and you talk to yourself for a couple minutes then fall right to sleep for a good 7-9 hours lately. Man mommy feels like a new woman with that kind of sleep. It also gives me and daddy some time to catch up with each other.

Speaking of talking, you make the cutest noises it just cracks me up sometimes you gurgle and make noises almost like a little bird.

You are such a huge part of my life I never imagined what being a mommy would do to me but I would do anything for you!! You are my little partner all day long and I enjoy every minute we spend together.

I love you so much Lydia Rose, what a wonderful 2nd month it has been.

*once again no month onesie we were missing the 1 and 2 but we will do a mini 2 month photo shoot in her cute 4th of July outfit tomorrow, just a day over 2 months.

I hope you all have an amazing Holiday Weekend. I know we have so many fun things planned that there will be a MONSTER post after this weekend is over. This post will include lots of pool time, family, friends, and a cute cute baby dressed in an adorable 4th of July outfit :)

The (almost) finished product!

So now here is my living room and the beautiful new floors :)

All that is left is the trim around the fire place (they are doing that this week still), the molding around the room (that is our project to save money we are doing it) and a new window treatment because the one we had ripped out of the wall and I need to lower the picture that hangs above our love seat because it went in place of another bigger painting we had up there and I have been to lazy to fix it but it bothers me almost every day so I AM going to do it!

Loooove my new floors, I ::almost:: feel like I live in a new house!! This is a room I am really proud of.

Happy Thursday, I will be having a day date with my hubby and baby because he is off work :)
