Nursery Part 1

So, i've been soooo antsy to get moving on this project that I think I'm driving myself nuts! It's just I'm starting to feel this great 2nd trimester energy leaving me every day little by little. It's like I'm regressing back to my nap for 15 minutes at lunch and hide under my covers from 8 p.m. until the alarm clock goes off the next morning, not a part of civilization stage again. (I really hated that stage!) Soo I've been on Matt to help me move furniture around, clean the carpets, fix the closet door, and freshen up the paint in her room before we bring in anything new. I want it to be as clean of a slate as we can get it before I bring anything cutsie that's going to touch my precious little one!

So, Step 1: Find a place for all our furniture that was in the spare room and we can't keep anymore. So how did we do this, most of it is in Grandma's basement for safe keeping until house #2 or whoever else in the family needs it first. However, we did switch up a few things, we got rid of the $100 Walmart futon (yes it worked for almost 2 years but it was time to let go) it was gross and I was over it! So we moved our twin guest bed into the office, took the head board off and made it a day bed/ study haven for Matt when preggo is sleeping and he doesn't want to bother me. We also moved the dresser which is Matt's dresser into our room, Matt no longer has to walk across the house in his (boxers or briefs???? you will never find out!) to get all his clothes in the morning.

(new office set up)

Step 2: Clean the carpets. Why hire a professional when you have this stud to do it for you! He's having so much fun, actually he did a great job! Thanks honey :)

Step 3: Touch up the paint where all the scratch marks from our many house guests were left over the last 2 years. We love every single one of you who put one of those marks on our wall, it was worth the half hour to touch up the paint.

Step 4: Order furniture!! Ok so it's not in yet but the crib has been ordered and I can almost picture it in that cute yellow room already.

Step 5: Buy a new washer and dryer, ok so this has NOTHING to do with a nursery but was a must do before baby girl arrived. Everyone who stalks me on facebook or knows me realizes how in love I am with these new babies. Thank you Lord for the Sears Scratch and Dent Outlet :) we got a great deal!! No more washer with the top section falling off and the dryer that leaves brown streaks on our clothes (can you picture cute baby clothes with brown streaks on them, no, exactly that's why we got a new one!)

Stay tuned for Nursery Part 2 :)
