Mercy

When trying to think of something encouraging to post today, I was at a loss until I remembered what has been surely helping me through long days and sometimes tough days. That is this:

"Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning."  Lamentations 3:22-23

It doesn't matter how awful our day was, what we might have said, who's head we might have bit off, who we failed to forgive yet again, or how lost we may feel. His Mercy's are new each and every morning! Not just on Sunday mornings because that is the sabbath, not just on Monday mornings because He knows we will have a bad case of the Monday's but every morning.

I know I sleep a little better when I lean on that verse and on that promise... as the clock ticks away and I try to avoid sleep, "His mercy's are new each morning", even tomorrow morning when I am forced to open my eyes and face a new day.

One of my favorite passages for sure. I recently wrote a post about it, too. Great minds think alike. ;) Praying you are filled to the brim with the awareness of his mercies towards you when you wake up tomorrow.

Definitely! It's so nice to know we have a fresh, clean slate with Him. He literally forgets our sins when we confess them and repent, and He gives us so many chances. He loves us. He is the perfect Father.
