During the reading of the Passion on Palm Sunday, I always have a hard time when they say "he took his last breath" and then we kneel. I fight tears because I don't want to be that blubbering person but it always takes my breath away. He knew the plan all along but it still had to be a sad/horrific/lonely experience to be up on that cross waiting for his last breath.
I am thankful however that our God is surely ALIVE that he made this sacrafice for us, how humbled I am today to remember this.
There always seems to be a song during Lent that really hits home for me, one that speaks to me and makes me reflect on this season and this year that song is "Alive" by Natalie Grant on The Story cd.
"Alive Alive, Look What Mercy's Overcome, Death Has Lost and Love Has Won!"
