3 Years and a Special Gift!

Yesterday, June 20th, marked our 3 year wedding anniversary! I cannot believe how far we have come, how much has changed, and how much more I love my husband with each day. Does he drive me more and more crazy too, yes of course. I think it might be possible that some of his jokes are getting worse. He can't wait for Lydia to be able to understand him so somebody will laugh at him :)

I could not be happier with our 3 years...can't believe I am blessed enough to have my family picture look this beautiful in after only 3 years and at 25 years old!

I love that when I asked if we could give up gifts for our anniversary and find a special child who needed us more than we needed another "thing" in our house he jumped at the idea. So last night after Lydia was asleep, I was done with my first day on the new job, and he got home from class we got on the World Vision website, put in our Anniversary Date and chose the age 3 (so the child would be just as old as our marriage) and found the sweetest face staring back at us.

I am hooked and I smile every time I picture her. Please add our sweet sponsored child to your prayers. Her name is Leensdalie, she lives in Haiti with her mother who is an agricultural laborer, she loves dolls,  is 3 years old born on June 20th, 2008 and lives in a community severely affected by AIDS. I hope this small gift that we give her can truly mean the difference for her future. I hope our prayers are felt all the way in Haiti and that she knows how much she is loved by our God.

Oh how I wish I could see her face and give her a big hug when they tell her and her mother that she has been sponsored!
