So my search began. I came upon ARPO (adoptarpo.org) they are an amazing organization that pulls dogs from shelters , they take in strays and other unwanted dogs and places them in loving foster homes until they find their forever home. Well I had my eye on a couple puppies and was waiting for the right moment when this amazingly cute face popped up on the screen and I knew I had to have her! She looked like a fluffy teddy bear. We called and arranged a home visit and the second her foster mom put her on our sidewalk I was mush in her furry little (big at that time) paws. I was a goner. So she came to live with us that weekend and she's been a trip ever since. She's our puppy who is slowly growing out of her bad puppy stage but here are a few examples of the damage she caused in the last 2 years: chewing up remotes (AT&T remotes, 2 of them to be exact), tracking mud in the house before we can stop and wipe her paws off, chewed up our foot board to the bed, a couple blankets... the usual puppy stuff but through all that I still love her furry face and can just stare at her forever and wonder how in the world did this mix ever occur and I am so lucky to have her because there is not another one out there like her.
She is also the guardian of the house, she would never hurt you if you came up to the door and we let you in or if she met you on the sidewalk during one of our summer walks, but if you came up all dressed in black peaking in our windows or trying to break in, you better have worn your running shoes because she will try and come through the window after you. It's nice on those nights when Matt is out late and I'm home by myself. I know I am safe!
So enough about this amazing dog that is LAYLA here is the cute picture of my Big Ball of fluffy love! She turns 2 in a week, can't believe it.
