11 MONTHS!

 My sweet Lydia,

I cannot believe that you are only one month away from turning 1, only one month away from your first full year on this earth as my beautiful daughter. I am starting to look back on our year together and cannot believe how much has changed, you have made our lives so much richer by being in it!!

Coolest kid on the block!

So now to your milestones this month:

- You climb up grandma and grandpas stairs like a pro! We need to work on going down because you think it's a good idea to go head first on your tummy.

- You are a little chatter box, you say mamma, dadda, go, baby (you sing Baby Baby Baby oh, Bieber fever already people!) and you try and imitate our words all the time but they just come out baby jibberish but it's soooo cute!

- You love to turn in circles on your butt just like Ellie, you just turn around and giggle the whole time.

- You have become quite the picky eater, throwing most of what we give you on the ground for the dogs. You do like, grilled cheese, goldfish, cheerios, apple sauce, bananas, ravioli, but now when we try to give you anything new or anything chunky it is on the floor. The dogs love it, mom and dad not so much.

- You love books, you love the "Yawn that Wouldn't End" you pick it up and hand it to me and make me flip through it giving you the shortened version about 10 times in one sitting. It's quite funny that you can pick it out from all your books scattered all over your floor.

- You aren't walking on your own yet but you are getting braver, letting go and standing on your own now, you walk along the couch with one hand like it's no big deal. You take a knee all the time, almost like you are about to just pop up and take off. You even walk with your hands on the floor and your butt in the air. You push everything, your stroller, your high chair, your Lydia chair, your car, and anything else that will move with you.

Straight into the mouth

-You have almost 8 teeth, the second set on the top are almost through the skin you can feel them and barely see them but they are there, you have 4 on bottom and then your two front teeth.

 - You can be so fussy and sleepy but a bath time will cheer you right up, you just splash and splash, you love to take all of your toys out of their little pouch and then put them back in (you do that with all your toys now too) and you have started trying to catch the bubbles and eat the soap, you don't like it but you keep trying.

I love your smile and the way you reach for me when you aren't sure about something or have just woken up. I love that you lay your head down with your daddy on Betty the bumblebee while you play at night. I love that you kiss your Bentley dog on the nose and lay your head on the coach next to his. I love that you still let me hold you while you have your bottle. I love that you still sleep with the same bunny rabbit lovey we gave you when you came home. I love your laugh, the way you squint and try to wink at people and the way you scrunch your nose. I love that your hair is growing and we put it in a mohawk at bath time and can now put clippies in it. I love every single thing about you.
