I cherish mommy friends! You know the true mommy friends who don't judge, who don't try and "one up" you each time they open their mouth. I mean friends who you can talk about your little one's bodily functions with, talk about sleep deprivation, the good the bad and the ugly of child birth, and most importantly just talk about your child's amazingly cute antics without feeling like they wish you would shut up and talk about something else, anything else.
I don't have many mommy friends yet, I was one of the first to get pregnant and I am ok with that (my circle is growing though). I really think that is one reason I love blogging and have stuck with it for 2 years now, you all are my mommy friends, you read my stories, you look at my pictures and encourage me just like a physical group of mommy friends surrounding me. So for that, THANK YOU!!
Lyndee is one of my newest mommy friends and an old coworker of mine. I used to go down and talk to her belly all the time. Now sweet Tinley is here (born a day after Lydia's 1st Birthday) and I was so happy they came to enjoy a FREE concert at the amphitheater in a town nearby this Saturday night. It was gorgeous out, the music was good, and our crazy Lydia ran around dancing in circles and entertained us all!

(now for the sad portion of the evening)
Unfortunately as we were packing up our areas the lightning started in the distance, the wind picked up and you could tell there was something heavy coming through. Lyndee and Tinley made it to their car safe and sound, same for me and my family. However, as we were on our way home the horrible news of the Indy State Fair stage collapse had started spreading. I knew quite a few people who were there and instantly worried for them. It was so terrifying to watch and I know those who experienced it first hand are pretty shaken up by it. So please keep the families of those who died and those who were injured in your prayers.
